NIX SMALL-CROCKPOT CHICKEN BALTI
Slow-cooked chicken. Proper balti fire. One small pot.
There is slow-cooker curry—and then there is a curry that actually tastes like somebody cared.
The NIX Small-Crockpot Chicken Balti combines tender chicken thigh, sweet red pepper, ginger, garlic and a concentrated tomato sauce with a freshly bloomed balti spice mix.
It is rich, punchy and built specifically for a small Crockpot. No watery sauce, no enormous batch and no jar required.
The short spice-blooming stage is worth doing: it creates the deeper, roasted flavour that separates a proper balti from chicken cooked in spicy tomato soup.

SERVING IDEAS
IMPORTANT COOKING NOTES
- Chicken should reach at least 75°C.
- Chicken thighs remain more tender than breast during slow cooking.
- Avoid adding extra liquid at the beginning; the chicken, tomatoes and vegetables release moisture.
- Crockpots vary, so begin checking the chicken toward the shorter cooking time.
- Do not repeatedly lift the lid during cooking.
- Add the finishing spices and lemon at the end to keep their flavour bright.
