SKY begins before the propellers turn. It is weather forecasts, airspace checks, batteries, permissions, insurance and the quiet judgement of deciding that today is not the day to fly. Good aerial photography depends as much on restraint as it does on technology.
When the aircraft does lift, the reward is a viewpoint that changes familiar ground. A road becomes a line through a landscape, a building reveals its shape and a place known for years can suddenly look completely new. That transformation is the reason the drones keep earning their place.
The archive also records how the craft and cameras have changed. From the older Spark and Mavic 2 Pro to the Mini 4 Pro and tiny Neo 2, each aircraft represents a different moment in consumer drone flying—and a different way of bringing the view home.

Nemesis is the aircraft I choose when the landscape deserves patience. The larger one-inch Hasselblad camera gives broad views, low evening light and slow, deliberate movements a weight that still feels special. It is bigger, older and less casual than the rest of the trio—but that is part of its charm. Taking Nemesis out feels like deciding to make a photograph properly, not merely collecting another clip.

DJI MINI 4 PRO
Zoom is the drone most likely to be with me when a view suddenly appears. It is small enough to live happily in Vanilla, quick enough to get ready while the light is still behaving, and capable enough that travelling light never feels like settling for second best. The Mini 4 Pro is the practical centre of NIX SKY: less theatre, fewer excuses and a serious camera in a remarkably portable aircraft.

Sneaker does not try to be a pocket-sized Nemesis. Its job is movement: following Torque along a trail, joining a walk or adding a quick floating camera angle without turning the whole outing into a production. The protected little airframe makes it playful and approachable, but the thinking remains serious—check the surroundings, choose one clean movement and let the aircraft help tell the story.
