My Royal Navy and marine engineering background left me with a lasting need to understand how things work. HGV driving added another perspective: respect the machinery, plan the journey and keep an eye on the world through the windscreen.
That curiosity comes with me everywhere. I photograph it, ride through it, test it and write about it. Sometimes there are spreadsheets. Often there is tea. Always, there is something else to discover.
ROAD
Room for a detour.
Vanilla is my campervan, my little off-grid experiment and my invitation to take the long way round. A good view and a kettle go a very long way.
