THE RIDE BEYOND THE NUMBERS.
TRAIL is not a performance leaderboard. It is the pleasure of setting off on Torque with no engine noise, no timetable and enough Bosch assistance to make the next hill feel like an invitation rather than an administrative problem.
Strava supplies the facts, but the numbers are only the skeleton of each outing. The real ride is the changing surface beneath the tyres, the weather moving through the trees, the decision to investigate another turning and the state of the rider when the route finally points home.
Cannock Chase is the regular testing ground, but TRAIL also celebrates the modest local rides that keep the legs moving and the mind clear. Some adventures arrive with dramatic scenery. Others begin at the front door and still manage to be exactly what was needed.

THE MAP BIGGER.
Torque is not a motorcycle wearing pedals and it is not a downhill sofa. It is a capable alloy hardtail with a powerful Bosch system, 29-inch wheels and the direct, honest feel that makes a line through the woods feel like a choice rather than a suggestion.

MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE.
The electric assistance does not remove the ride—it extends it. I still choose the line, change gear, balance the bike and put effort through the pedals. The motor simply means a long climb does not have to be the end of the day.
That matters on Cannock Chase. A climb can lead to another trail, a forest road can become a useful connector and an interesting turning no longer has to be rejected because it points upwards. Torque gives me enough reserve to stay curious.
The hardtail layout is part of the appeal. It is efficient, comparatively simple and communicative beneath me. The fork deals with the front-end impacts; the rear tells the truth about the line I chose. Occasionally rather loudly.

Confident, progressive braking matters on a heavy eMTB—especially when the descent arrives faster than the climb did.

A broad, responsive band of support for technical climbs, loose ground and the stop-start rhythm of woodland trails. Pedal pressure still matters: Torque responds rather than simply surging.

RANGE IS A RESULT.

A battery capacity is measurable. Mileage is conditional. These are the things I watch before deciding how adventurous the next turning should be.
CLIMBING
Repeated elevation asks for more energy.
SURFACE
Mud and loose ground increase rolling resistance.
ASSISTANCE
More support usually means fewer miles.
TEMPERATURE
Cold conditions can reduce usable performance.
TYRE PRESSURE
Too soft wastes energy; too hard wastes grip.
RIDER INPUT
Smooth cadence makes better use of the system.
